Description: Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs or the equivalent and be between the ages of 18 and 24. The applicants' teachers must be members of the National Opera Association. Selection is based on a recording of two arias for preliminary hearings and a live audition of four arias for the final judging. There is a $20 entry fee.

Description: Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens, residents of at least one year or students in U.S. or Canadian institutions of higher learning. Applicants must also be 20 to 30 years of age, have musical training and background and demonstrate operatic potential. They must be able to sing in more than one language. Applicants must audition with five arias.
