Description: Applicants must demonstrate involvement in equine-related activities and be members of American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) or American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) for a minimum of up to three years, depending on the scholarship. Selection is based on financial need, academic achievement, equine involvement, references and career plans. A transcript and three references are required for all scholarships. All other requirements vary by scholarship.

Description: This award is based on academic excellence, financial need, extracurricular activities, community service, involvement with American Saddlebred horses and personal references. An interview may be part of the selection process. Applicants should write an essay about school experiences, special interests, hobbies and American Saddlebred Horse Association activities. Scholarships are given only to high school seniors or recent graduates.
