Description: There are several different types of awards. The first is for students enrolled in two-year degree programs in surveying technology. The second is for students enrolled in or accepted to a graduate program in geodetic surveying or geodesy. The third is for students enrolled in four-year degree programs in surveying (or in related areas such as geomatics or surveying engineering). The last type is for students enrolled in a two-year or four-year surveying (and closely related) degree program, either full or part-time. All awards are based on academic record, statement, recommendation letters and professional activities.

Description: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree program in cartography or geographic information science. Prior scholarship winners may apply. Description: Applicants must be undergraduates majoring in engineering, science or construction fields, such as chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, geotechnical, geology/hydrogeology, geography, GIS, mechanical, mining and structural or must be planning to pursue a master's degree in one of these disciplines at United Negro College Fund (UNCF) member colleges and universities. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. There is also an internship as a part of the program.
