Samuel H. Kress Foundation Paired Fellowship for Research in Conservation and the History of Art

Description: Applicants should be teams consisting of two scholars with the appropriate terminal degree for five years or more: one in the field of art history, archaeology or another related discipline in the humanities or social sciences and one in the field of conservation or materials science. Applications will be considered for study in the history and conservation of the visual arts in Europe before the early nineteenth century. Applicants should submit the application forms; proposals; tentative travel schedule indicating the site(s), collection(s) or institution(s) for the proposed research; two publications and two letters of recommendation. The fellowship is a two- to three-month period for field, collections and/or laboratory research followed by a two-month residency at the Center.
