Much of your college or graduate school financial aid — especially federal financial aid — can probably be applied toward study abroad.
Be sure to ask your school financial aid counselor about your eligibility for financial aid.
Scholarships are another way to finance a study abroad program. When you find a scholarship that you qualify for, see if it can be applied to your study abroad program.
Ask your academic adviser, financial aid counselor, and study abroad office for additional information on paying for study abroad. Some scholarships focus exclusively on those studying abroad.
Remember: If you are pursuing study abroad programs while in high school, you are not eligible for federal financial aid.
