The CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE can be required by private colleges, universities, graduate and professional schools, and scholarship programs to determine eligibility for non-federal financial aid — such as an institution's own grants, loans, and scholarships.
Check with your chosen schools or visit the College Board (they administer the CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE) to see if a CSS PROFILE is required and to confirm submission deadlines (dates vary by school). You may submit your CSS PROFILE as early as the fall.
To register, contact the College Board online or by calling (305) 829-9793. Students visiting the College Board Website can register and apply for the CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE at the same time. The online application also automatically includes all questions required by your designated schools.
There is a nonrefundable $25 registration fee and a $16 charge for each school that you’d like information sent to. First-time college applicants from families with very low incomes may be eligible for a fee waiver.
